The lab of biomaterials engineering at McGill University is currently looking for motivated graduate students. Our research centers on the interface between Mechanics, Materials and Biomedical Engineering. We are synergizing transdisciplinary principles to develop innovative biomaterials and therapies to solve critical challenges in medicine and engineering. Graduate students:
Background: Prof. Jianyu Li is a Canada Research Chair and Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and an Associate Member in the Departments of Biomedical Engineering and Surgery at McGill University. In the past, he graduated from Zhejiang University with honors in 2010 and obtained a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Harvard University in 2015. He did post-doctoral research at the Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering at Harvard University from 2015 to 2017. His work has been published in Science, Nature Review Materials, Nature Communications, and been profiled by BBC, CBC, The Washington Post, etc. Prof. Li's team is vibrant, diverse, and dedicated to the development and success of trainees, who have won numerous awards, scholarships, and other recognitions. McGill University is one of the top universities in Canada and ranked 31st in the world (2021 QS World). Montreal, where McGill is located, ranks among the most livable cities in the world.
